Alberta Deaf Sports Association (ADSA) is proud to host the next Canada Deaf Games on May 12 to 16, 2020 in Edmonton, Alberta. We expect between 300 athletes from across Canada to compete in curling, basketball, volleyball, badminton, bowling, ice hockey, and pickleball. The competitions will be held at various venues across Edmonton such as Saville Sports Community Centre, Avonair Curling Club, Gateway Bowling Lanes, and Callingwood Ice Hockey Arena.

The 2020 Canada Deaf Games is a qualifying event for sport-specific international competitions and the Deaflympics. These events are comparable in athletic excellence to the Olympics and Paralympics. These games provide an equal opportunity for Canadian deaf and hard of hearing athletes to experience competition at an elite level.

2020 Canada Deaf Games (2020 CDG) represents the only competion, at the national level, for Canadian Deaf and Hard of Hearing athletes to come together and demonstrate their training and talents. Based on the results at this tournament, select athletes will be invited to represent Canada on the National Team for upcoming international Deaf sport events.

2020 CDG also provides important social and personal growth as participants come together in community, reinforcing pride in their identities as athletes, as Deaf or Hard of Hearing persons, and as Canadians.
